Tutoring Experience:
My teaching experience spans over several years, beginning during my undergraduate studies at the Royal Northern College of Music. I have taught students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced musicians. I specialize in piano instruction, focusing on both technical development and musical expression. My approach is tailored to each student, integrating music theory, sight-reading, and performance practice, while also nurturing their personal connection to music.
Many of my students have successfully passed ABRSM exams, with some earning distinctions, and others have performed at local recitals and competitions. I also prepare students for university entrance auditions and professional-level exams. In addition to one-on-one lessons, I’ve organized student recitals and have created personalized lesson plans that incorporate both classical repertoire and contemporary works.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to music tuition is centered on a personalized, student-focused model. I believe that each student has unique strengths, goals, and learning styles, so I tailor my lessons to meet their individual needs. I focus on a well-rounded musical education that incorporates technical skills, theory, and emotional expression to foster not only technical proficiency but also creativity and personal interpretation.
I prioritize building students' confidence by setting achievable goals, providing consistent feedback, and encouraging them to perform regularly. I also aim to instill a lifelong love of music, making lessons enjoyable and inspiring by incorporating a diverse range of repertoire, from classical to contemporary pieces. My goal is to guide students in developing their musical abilities while helping them find their own voice as musicians.
