Personal Description:
I am a singer- songwriter, guitarist and performer. I have been playing music and writing songs for over ten years and it is my biggest passion. I love sharing this passion with students as it is the best feeling when you can finally play your favourite song or when you first write your own.
I believe that music making and learning should be fun and engaging. We will work on the songs that you like and that you want to play. This could be any number of styles such as, pop, rock, rap, or country. I can work with you from a complete beginner stage or on more advanced songs. My lessons are for learners who, may be serious about getting good, but don't want to do exams or learn classical scales. This is perfect for children who have suddenly gained an interest in music and want to develop this or adult learners who want to be able to strum along to their favourite songs or have aims of playing gigs in the future. I am understanding and patient and I approach teaching in a calm and fun manner.
I can teach ukulele, guitar, singing or songwriting. I am happy to work with you on one or more of these skills.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching and facilitating music workshops since 2018. I currently teach guitar, ukulele and keyboard across two primary schools. I have a number of private students both adult and children and I have experience and training in working with people who identify as being neurodivergent.
