Personal Description:
I'm from Spain. I started to play bass when I was 18. Self-taught most part of the way and a bit with a hometown little private music academy. I had the luck to have a good bunch of friends to play with in a band. We played funk & fusion (rock, bossa, jazz… ) .Those styles opened me a wide variety in rhythms and metrics. A few years later I started to work as a professional musician in ensembles touring around the country. Was an excellent opportunity to continue learning and playing different styles ( pop, salsa, cha cha cha, samba, double step, etc… ). After 10 years a new challenge knocked my door. A private music academy was starting and contacted me to work as a bass teacher. So I decided to do a pedagogy course (wanted to do it right;), also I did the 8th grade RSL exam (just to clarify myself about my knowledge) and started to teach bass for 4 years. In the last 2 years before I move to London I played with 2 flamenco guitar players. They introduced me to the rich harmonies and rhythms that flamenco has.
After more than 20 years playing I'm still passionate about bassand still discovering more techniques and more harmony.
