Personal Description:

I started my piano lesson when I was 6 and am currently on my final year at Birmingham Conservatoire to achieve BMus (Hons) degree under the tuition of Katya Apekisheva, Mark Bebbington, and Margaret Fingerhut. I am also awarded with scholarship during my studies in Birmingham Coservatoire. During my four years here, I have followed a lot of concerts, competitions, and master classes with Roy Howat, Graham Scott, and Peter Donohoe. Furthermore, during my previous studies in Indonesia, I have participated in a lot of charity concerts and have been selected for many times to play in ABRSM high scorer concerts. I have also been awarded scholarhsip to continue my master study at the conservatoire.
You will have lessons in the Conservatoire located on Paradise Circus in the centre of Birmingham.

Tutoring Experience:

Prior to my studies here, I have been teaching some younger students in piano-playing and music theory; I have also been helping my teacher back home as her assistant.

Tutoring Approach:

'Play the music, not the instrument' . As a tutor, I believe that enjoyment is the most important key in learning. My objectives are not only to prepare my students for examinations and excel their musical abilities (aural skills, harmony, history), but also to guide them to find their passion for the music itself. I am happy to teach people piano and/or music theory for exams preparations or for casual basis.
