Tutoring Approach:
Edwin believes that music lessons should be fun and engaging, but also require a serious commitment from both teacher and pupil. He focusses on training a rounded musician with a solid vocal technique. In addition to working on pieces, aural skills, sight-reading and performance technique is covered in each lesson. He ensures that every student is treated as an individual, and tailors each programme of study to suit accordingly. Repertoire covered in lessons will include a healthy mix of styles from classical to musical theatre and jazz. Edwin currently has limited spaces for new advanced students. Many students have gone onto win scholarships at specialist arts schools, university choirs, drama school and music college and work professionally within the West End.
