Personal Description:
I provide professional music tuition in Guitar, Piano Drums, Bass Guitar, Ukelele, Music Theory and more in the Cardiff area. I have been a multi instrumentalist for pretty much all of my musical career which means I can offer a wide range of options as well as give students a more rounded understanding of music and how different instruments can interact with each other. I have played various instruments in bands, ensembles and solo for many years and have achieved Grade 8 in guitar, drums and bass guitar as well as a BA in Music Performance.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching instruments off and on for a number of years on a part-time basis and went full time about a year ago. Since then I have been able to build up a busy teaching schedule with students from 5 to 60+!
Tutoring Approach:
A lot of my pupils are working through grade exams, which gives a good structure and good goals to aim for. Others prefer not to do grades which is fine too and I can help with those students progress from beginner to advanced level too. I aim to give my students a thorough understanding of music theory and foundation of good sight reading, as well as the various skills relevant to their chosen instrument. I do a mixture of teaching some students at their homes and some from my base in North Cardiff.
