Personal Description:

I am offering lessons Online and face face. I have been playing, performing and composing music for over 20 years and absolutely embrace the enjoyment it brings. My aim is to share that enthusiasm and joy with others. Music has been a passion of mine since a young age and over the years I have gained a First Class Honors BA in Music Composition and a BTEC National diploma in Music Performance as well as obtaining piano grades with the ABRSM in both practical and theory.

Tutoring Experience:

Over the years I have taught piano, music composition and theory both professionally and on a casual basis for friends and colleagues. When I was studying for my degree at Ravensbourne I would give tutorials to my class mates who were struggling with a particular area of study, especially around theory and piano playing. I loved this element to my university days and realised I had a passion for sharing musical knowledge and supporting others develop their musical potential. Embracing the enjoyment of teaching has meant I am dedicating more of my professional time to tutoring adult and younger learners.

Tutoring Approach:

Happy to teach piano to both adult and younger learners online as well as face-to-face at my home with current social distancing regulations applied.

Music is a wonderful thing and something that should be shared, so if you would like to learn I would love to hear from you and I’m open to all kinds of students. It may be that you wish to achieve piano grades and gain your certificates. If grades and exams aren’t for you I can help you learn how play your favourite tunes to entertain your friends and family. I also believe in music for our own wellbeing so come along to learn a new skill and have some space to yourself during a busy week.
