Personal Description:

David currently is a London based freelance oboist. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies at Durham University in 2019 attended the Royal College of Music in London to undertake a master of performance degree specialising in the oboe. At the RCM David won the oboe class prize in the RCM woodwind competition and won the audition for the Chamber Orchestra of Europe academy completing his course with distinction. Since graduating, David has performed and recorded extensively with the UK’s leading orchestras. He has regularly appeared as a guest Principal with the London Symphony Orchestra, Welsh National Opera and Birmingham Royal Ballet as well as guest work with BBCSO And BBC NOW and also in Europe with Camerata Nordica and the European Union Chamber Orchestra.

Tutoring Experience:

A sought after Oboe teacher in London with experience teaching complete beginners to aspiring professionals. Davids permanent teaching positions include being the oboe specialist teacher at both Harrow Music Service and Ealing Junior Music School. Alongside this David thoroughly enjoys teaching privately working with some of Londons brightest young oboists.
