Information About David - Ashington teacher

Personal Description:

David currently is a UK based freelance oboist. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies at Durham University in 2019 attended the Royal College of Music in London to undertake a master of performance degree specialising in the oboe. At the RCM David won the oboe class prize in the RCM woodwind competition and won the audition for the Chamber Orchestra of Europe academy completing his course with distinction. Since graduating, David has regularly appeared as a guest Principal oboe with leading UK orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Welsh National Opera and Birmingham Royal Ballet as well as guest work with BBCSO And BBC NOW and also in Europe with Camerata Nordica and the European Union Chamber Orchestra.

Tutoring Experience:

A sought after Oboe teacher the UK with experience teaching complete beginners to aspiring professionals. Davids permanent teaching roles currently include teaching oboe at Ealing Junior Music School. Alongside this David thoroughly enjoys teaching privately working with some of the brightest young oboists in the UK.

I tailor my approach to each individual, finding out their goals and aspirations for playing and working with them to find the best way for them to achieve that. All of my students have had a 100% success rate on examinations.
