Information About Dave - Prescot teacher

Personal Description:

At age 29, I have been a professional musician for over 10 years since leaving school, working in studios and performing live with various bands.

I have worked as a producer/remixer for some of the top UK dance labels, and I've worked in live bands in China, Dubai as well as several cruise ships.

I'm based in Prescot, near Liverpool on Warrington Road (A57), near Whiston Hospital.

Tutoring Approach:

Rather than taking the usual, boring approach to teaching (classical tunes you've never heard before and all the theory side of things), I will teach you what you want to know - your favourite songs on the radio or on your ipod. Learning to play by ear is the best thing that I ever did. You will enjoy playing so much more and love practicing if you're playing songs which you enjoy. Let's face it, you don't see your favourite bands standing on stage with a piece of sheet music do you… ?

I also teach music production using Logic on Apple Mac, so - this can be incorporated into your lessons if you wish to learn this side of things too.
