Personal Description:
I have been teaching piano, music theory, composition, musicianship and singing in London and surrounding areas since 2015. I graduated from Goldsmiths University BMus (Music) and completed MA in Music Teaching from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. My passion and dedication to music helped many of my students to start their musical journey. I enjoy teaching everyone, no matter what their age is, but most of all, I enjoy when my students achieve great results! In case I cannot accommodate you, I would gladly recommend you to other teachers whom I am collaborating with.
Tutoring Experience:
Due to a heavy load of students at the private music school and my personal students, at some point I was teaching around 60 students a week and over many years of teaching I managed to make hundreds of exam entries. I'm currently tutoring beginners to Grade 8, also teaching adults or those who just want to develop their musical skills. My recent Grade 5 theory students scored 98 and 97 out of a hundred, but it is all due to their hard work!
Tutoring Approach:
Since every student is different, I tend to apply various teaching techniques in my lessons. I do believe that going for performance exams motivates some students extrinsically, but I also believe that music should always come first. For that reason I always try teaching beyond the exam curriculum: music history, harmony, singing and sight-singing which helps in later years, sight-reading, performance, technique and expression. The lessons are usually tailored to everyone's needs and abilities.

I am delighted I chose you as my tutor. You are reliable, conscientious, and patient, and, thanks to your guidance and encouragement, my long - held wish to learn to play the piano is finally becoming a reality. Thank you so much!
Teresa
I do understand the importance of the first lesson, but we all should understand that life happens sometimes and we should understand others around us. Having to teach 60+ students every week it might go out of control on rare occasions. On the other hand, I always understand if a parent cancels a lesson just a day before because of a family emergency or other reasons.
Once again, I just wanted to explain the situation and I have offered several solutions after the cancellation, unfortunately, it was refused without a consideration.
Had never played the piano before, I am very pleased with my progress and enjoying every lesson!
Thanks
