Personal Description:
I'm a very friendly, nurturing and committed teacher who is passionate about teaching and helping students to develop confidence, both in themselves, in their playing and in performing if they want to. I'm very interested in the psychology of learning and performing and allowing pupils to fulfil their potential. I have a very good success rate in ABRSM exams up to DipABRSM and in festivals/competitions.
Tutoring Experience:
I trained at the Junior RCM then the RNCM and taught piano at Junior Covervatoire for 12 years as well as both piano, violin, theory, aural and chamber music in a variety of state, independent and boarding schools to all ages from reception to upper 6th. I have over 20 years experience. I don't often lose pupils but due to several of my pupils reaching GCSE and A-Level age I have a few spaces that have become available.
