Personal Description:
I am a qualified teacher and have been teaching music, and other subjects, for over 30 years. I have also worked in special needs and have taught pupils who have learning difficulties, including autistic spectrum disorders, behavioral/emotional difficulties, moderate and severe learning difficulties, physical difficulties etc.
I have music exams to Grade 8.
Tutoring Experience:
I have worked in schools, colleges, special schools, and special units, hospitals, in the community, and one to one, with pupils aged 3 to adult.
Tutoring Approach:
I work in a client-centered way, adapting my teaching to suit the needs of my pupil. I have taught exams, including jazz exams, leisure play, and traditional music exams. I have also tutored GCSE music.
I am an active musician, playing many styles of music, and, hence, I am also able to teach improvisation skills.
