Personal Description:
Whether you want to learn woodwind, strings, guitars, piano ( or keyboards), singing, percussion, or theory I can help! I can also help with all areas of GCSE and A-Level music - including revision - with all current exam boards!
I'm a friendly guy with a quirky sense of humour and I will put you at your ease as you start your musical journey. I play multiple instruments and recently started my own orchestra and choirs. I'll help you on your musical voyage of discovery and will take any route you desire. If you're after someone to help you with the advanced side of music I'll help you find the finer nuances to enable your performances really shine. Theory is never boring with me either! If you're 6 or 106+ I'll be able to get you playing music and enjoying the prospects of developing your skills. So whether you're an absolute beginner with a hankering to learn or a seasoned player looking for a different perspective, or anything in between let me be your guide! All styles and genres catered for.
Prices start from £35 per hour/per week and this is based on lessons being at my teaching premises. Fortnightly lessons are available but cost £5 extra. Thirty minu**Contact Detail Removed**ssons are negotiable and cost £20 per half-hour.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching music in one form or another for nearly 30 years and was head hunted to teach singing at a London college. 98% of students, taught by me, entering exams have passed, often with a Distinction. I've taught in primary schools, secondary schools, colleges and houses. Recent GCSE music students all obtained a level 9 (A*).
Tutoring Approach:
Relaxed. Friendly. Fun. Professional. Inspiring. Encouraging. Holistic.
Whether it's your career or just for pleasure, music is there to be enjoyed so I will do my best to make the learning of it as enjoyable as possible without ever losing sight of what you're there for.
We will work together on your personal goals and you will be constantly learning new things.
I try and work in an imaginative way and will find the way that you work best. I will use handouts and pictures where appropriate.
I will put you at your ease and develop a good rapport with you very quickly. I will never talk down to you. I will never show off. I will never shout at you. We will work at your pace.
I will be 100% committed to your musical development and will guide you wherever possible, on condition of course that you are committed too!
