Personal Description:
Hello! I am a recent graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, with four years experience in teaching the piano. I have loved playing the piano since my teenage years, and love helping others to develop and expand upon their own unique skills.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught people of all ages, from six to sixty, both in a casual context and in preparation for exams such as those offered by the ABRSM exam board. I have coached students through conservatoire auditions, with some students of mine gaining their own places at prestigious music schools in the UK.
Tutoring Approach:
I offer a style of teaching that aims to teach you to be able to teach yourself! I prioritise relaxed, enjoyable practice and encourage a development of harmonic understanding, to grow general musicianship alongside learning pieces. I am comfortable helping students with all styles, and have experience playing in progressive rock and pop bands, as well as performing as a concert pianist, accompanying other instrumentalists/choirs and playing for theatre.
