Mature teacher. Wife and mother of adult offspring. Currently teaching at my home studio.

Tutoring Experience:
30 years part time teaching violin at Marlborough College
Part time teacher at Westonbirt Girls School, St Marys Calne, several prep schools, St. Johns Secondary School Marlborough, and several local junior schools for Wilts County Music Service.
Also privately at home, with individuals ranging fro 5 to 65yrs. Many ex pupils gained music scholarships and progressed to conservatoires.

Tutoring Approach:
Adapted to the individual, but will enter pupils for ABRSM exams as appropriate.
Taking a whole person approach to learning: physical comfort while playing; not just learning by imitation and repetition but by clear understanding; building confidence.
Have created a series of unique teaching aids to makiing reading music easier to understand.
Have invented a way of simplifying finding the right notes in any key or position on the violin strings.
Have reduced a multitude of bowing problems to a few simple principles.
