Information About Cameron - Edinburgh teacher

Personal Description:

Hey there, my name is Cameron. I’m an Edinburgh based teacher, sound designer, and media composer. My background is extremely varied in audio and music. I have experience working through classical, jazz, and popular music material for piano. Improvising, composing music for film, designing sound FX, creating virtual instruments, electronic music production, orchestrating, recording, mixing & mastering, and lots more.

If there is anything I have not mentioned that you would like covered in a lesson, just let me know and I will do my best to assist you.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience teaching music production freelance. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience doing so and I'm excited to continue helping people in all different areas of music and music production.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe there isn't a one fits all approach to teaching music. A persons goals and their preferred way of learning will differ greatly from one another. I believe that first and foremost, lessons should be enjoyable. They should inspire and inform, where afterwards students become excited at the prospect of practice (yes that's really possible!).

I'm happy to teach levels of beginners to advanced. As well as casual learners and those who are looking to develop music/audio based careers or further academic study.

I use zoom as well as a high quality audio stream delivery service. This is a critical part of my working method. Having clear and concise audio helps the listener fully comprehend what I'm doing at any given time. I find this makes an enormous difference for the students experience.
