Personal Description:
I have been passionate about music and music recording from a young age, have acquired extensive experience as a music industry studio professional Engineer/Producer (worked alongside The Stranglers, Prefab Sprout, Tony Visconti, Trevor Horn, Stephen Hague, Madonna, U2, etc.) and latterly have enjoyed sharing my knowledge/experience/skills one-to-one with others (students, teachers or professionals e.g. Manfred Mann, Echobelly, ex-Dexy's Midnight Runners, Kiki Dee, Barry Blue and many other enthusiasts from all genres of music).
I pride myself on my abilities in the theory and practice of music recording/technology, also in communicating this clearly and concisely to students.
Tutoring Experience:
In industry, trained my assistants and clients.
Full-time Tutor/Lecturer at Gateway School of Recording for 6 years
Guest Lectures at the School of Audio Engineering (SAE), Islington Music Workshop (IMW) and SSR (London).
