Personal Description:
I graduated from the University of Hull with a BMus in 2003 and have been teaching music since. I hold ABRSM grade 8 in piano and voice, along with additional qualifications in music theory, musicianship and teacher training. I am a keen performer, am trained for both classical and musical theatre.
Tutoring Experience:
I am a fully qualified secondary school music teacher and have 16 years experience at many levels including Music teacher, Head of Music and Head of Arts faculty. Privately I have worked with students from beginner to Grade 8 and some select students for diploma and conservatoire auditions. Past students have gone on to study at establishments including the RNCM and LIPA.
Tutoring Approach:
Every student is treated as an individual and lessons are tailored to your aims and aspirations. You choose if you want to study for grade exams or not, that is your choice.
Piano lessons are 30 minutes. Vocal lessons are 45 minutes to allow for a thorough warm up.
