Information About Beth - Norwich teacher

Personal Description:

Hello, my name is Beth and I am fun, creative and supportive music tutor.

I am an experienced professional musician and I play and teach a variety of string instruments including the cello, mandolin, guitar and ukulele. I have a first class honours degree in Music and have 14 years experience working as a professional musician and performer.
Alongside my work with music, I work part-time as a Highly Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist. My therapeutic skills and music teaching experience enable me to tutor in a way that is person/child centered and highly motivating.

Tutoring Experience:

I have worked as a private instrumental tutor for 2+ years. I am also experienced in running groups (musical and therapeutic). I have many years experience working with children and young people in schools as a Lead Occupational Therapist and 1:1 SEN Assistant.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is led by the interests and musical goals of person I am working with. I use my specialist knowledge of occupational therapy to incorporate physical, cognitive and sensory strategies to support and enhance musical development (including awareness of posture, attention and sensory regulation). I am a warm, supportive and friendly teacher who aims to make others feel relaxed and enthusiastic about music.
