Information About Benjamin - Westhill teacher

Personal Description:

I am an Aberdeenshire-based woodwind tutor, Performer and Composer. I graduated with a Master's Degree in Music with Distinction from the University of Aberdeen.
I perform and teach in various styles ranging from Renaissance to jazz and contemporary styles. I also offer specialist tuition across all SATB saxophones.
I regularly perform with various jazz bands and function bands in Aberdeen and I frequently perform solo recitals in a number of venues.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring in private music schools since 2018, and I have been tutoring at the renowned Chalmers Mackay music school since 2019. And more recently I have started to teach at Aberdeen Music Lessons on Union Street.
I have worked with students of all ages and abilities and I am experienced in working with students who have additional needs or need an adaptive approach to learning.

Additionally, I work with the Aberdeen City Music Service where I deliver high-quality tuition across all woodwind instruments.

Tutoring Approach:

As every student learns in a different way I have a flexible and adaptive approach to my tuition. I tailor my teaching programmes to each individual and I use a slightly different approach with each student to best suit their needs.
I am experienced in taking students through ABRSM grades with a 100% pass rate and with high marks attained. I am also experienced in a more performance-based teaching programme and more casual programmes.
