Personal Description:

I recently graduated with a degree in Music from the University of Oxford, tutoring privately for over five years teaching saxophone and clarinet to all abilities. I love to help people with all their musical goals, whether that is passing graded exams or playing in a band!

Having performed in a range of classical, jazz and gospel ensembles, I have a wealth of gig experience. I have played an active role in orchestras as well as function bands, performing at weddings, festivals, and events across the UK and abroad.

Tutoring Experience:

My lessons are tailored to each individuals interests and goals. Through patient and encouraging teaching, I help students by making learning music fun. After laying a strong foundation, I help learners strengthen the basics through exploring music that interests you.

I teach both online, and in person in London.

Tutoring Approach:

I teach saxophone, clarinet, and music theory using a range of methods. Some of these methods include ear training, sight-reading, and understanding harmony through the interests of the student (i.e… classical, jazz, or pop oriented approaches to learning).

I’m happy to help you learn the instrument and technique to be able to play a range of styles, or prepare students for graded exams (ABRSM or Trinity). I help prepare students for exams in Music Theory (Grades 1-8).

I also coach students with A Level Music, and those wanting to apply to study an undergraduate degree with a substantial Musicology element.
