Personal Description:
I am a graduate of Reading University with a BA Hons degree in music. I studied Cello with Edith Churton and Piano with Michael Frayn. I play in a number of orchestral and chamber music settings across the county.
Tutoring Experience:
I have many years teaching experience, working with students of all ages and abilities. I have worked as a classroom teacher, visiting instrumental teacher, and as a private instrumental teacher, teaching pupils from age 4 to 74. I particularly enjoy working with adults and late starters.
Tutoring Approach:
I use a range of approaches in my teaching, tailoring resources to the needs of the pupil. I teach theory of music alongside practical skills, and believe a secure technique is the foundation of success. For my cello pupils I enjoy providing ensemble opportunities as well as individual tuition.
