Information About Ariel - Edgware teacher

Personal Description:

I am a London-based concert pianist, a winner of numerous awards at international competitions and special prizes. Over the years, I have performed in venues in the UK, Europe, the USA, and elsewhere, such as Wigmore Hall, the Miami International Piano Festival, the Vancouver Recital Society, Salle Cortot in Paris, and others; and with a number of orchestras such as the CBSO and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra.

Tuition has, for the last few years, been an increasingly significant part of my musical activities; starting with a period of working with Kings College students, continuing with masterclasses in a number of countries where I was on tour, and currently, as part of the faculty of the Miami International Piano Festival Academy and of the Altalena Music Academy.

I studied at the Royal Academy of Music on a full scholarship, earning three degrees - BMus with First Class Honours, Master of Arts with Distinction, and Advanced Diploma.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tuition is centered on helping you identify your goals and supporting you in achieving them. I work on a wide range of issues, from musical interpretation to technique, but I firmly believe that technique is a means, and not an end. Technique should always be in service to an artistic and musical vision, hence, I don't believe in working on technique for its own sake.

I believe that open communication is key to any good relationship, and I will always be attuned to your concerns and requests.
