Personal Description:
I trained as a pianist at the Royal Northern College of Music studying with Helen Krizos and completed the Joint Course with the Universiy of Manchester in 2001.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught piano at the JuniorRNCM, privately and in the State and Private education sectors. I have taught pupils from 4yrs old to 74yrs old and from beginners through to diploma students.
Tutoring Approach:
I enjoy teaching at all levels and helping my students to realise their potential and to feel positive towards progressing and to nuture a love of music in all my pupils.
As well as making use of well known tutorial books I arrange pieces at the request of my pupils to accomodate their skill level and personal interests.
I aim to include an element of theory and aural in the majority of my lessons and like to make use of local music festivals alongside the traditional ABRSM and Trinity exam paths.
