Personal Description:

I have been around music since I was 5yrs old so it is a fundamental part of my life. I feel music is a way to express our emotions and bring us an expression outlet. I have trained students through ABRSM exams from grade 1-8 with no failed exams. I have set personalised targets for pupils who do not wish to do music exams. Who may want to learn, Pop, Rock, Jazz etc… I have put many students through music festivals with many successes. Coached students in Aural with voice, tempo and rhythm skills. Coached music theory. The most important part of music teaching is that it is fun so the learning happens naturally with practice but no pressure or stress.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to inspire the pupils to bring excitement and enthusiasm to their practice. I teach pupils a good knowledge of Music theory and technique which I feel is fundamental to their progress. I provide my pupils with a wide range of music genres such as pop, musicals, film, jazz and classical. I like to stretch every pupil to their full potential and I enjoy bringing my pupils together to perform individually and together. I like to deliver fun and effective lessons that lead to engagement of pupils in all ability ranges.
