Personal Description:
Hello, thank you for looking at my profile. I have a strong background in education and music. I also have experience with those who have additional learning and special education needs.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been involved in education for 19+ years and teaching music for 10+ years to children and adults alike. Past pupils with additional needs have successfully learned piano and passed exams, where I have liaised closely with the exam board to ensure the musician have access to the appropriate materials.
I keep up to date with the current news from the exam boards.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe in musicians having access to a range of musical styles and genres. I incorporate music theory into lesson time and have done fast track grade 5 theory lessons when needed. Theory could also be taught in sibling or friendship groups if required. I believe in helping musicians to develop a relationship with their instrument, making lessons fun and enjoyable in a friendly atmosphere. Can teach beginner sax and flute also.

I am making progress
My 6 year old daughter has been attending recorder lessons for over a month now and I think that Ann is simply brilliant with her. She's very patient, informative and teaches my daughter in terms that she can understand. I would not hesitate to recommend Ann to anyone.
