Personal Description:
I am a friendly teacher who loves teaching both children and adults of all ages.
Tutoring Experience:
Fully Qualified Secondary Music Teacher with many years experience teaching instrumental lessons, English and Spanish.
Violin and Flute are my main instruments are therefore those that I teach to the highest level.
Piano is the instrument that I am asked about most and therefore most of my pupils currently learn piano. I teach this up to about grade 4. Pupils learn musicality and technique, however I don’t usually teach beyond this level because I don’t consider myself a pianist.
Due to a the fact that I used to teach classroom music and run choirs, I offer singing lessons, mainly to children. Again, I must specify that I am not a singer, but can certainly guide pupils through and have helped pupils with note reading, intonation, singing harmonies and general musicality.
Tutoring Approach:
I have a fun and friendly approach and tailor all lessons to pupils' specific needs so they can reach their full potential. If pupils would like to take exams then I guide them through ensuring they achieve the best outcome while enjoying their music at the same time.

AngieFrom Dara (2/5): Angie finally didn’t have tutorial for my daughter. She told me that she is not mainly to teach GCSE students. Also, she may only have the online lessons only during weekdays, which she have not mentioned in her description. I paid £24 to get her contact details, but no result!
Reply from: Angie: As explained to Dara/Winnie, I focus on the performance side of GCSE and it turned out that she required composition and the set works which not only do I not teach, but it would be extremely difficult to teach online. My availability clearly states that I do not teach weekends or evenings. I was also asked for English (As per my profile I teach EAL), but it turned out they required GCSE English and not IGCSE and obviously I am not equipped to teach the set works which I made clear. Since our communication, in my own time I have been trying to find them alternative tutors for both English and Music, but despite knowing several very experienced teachers, I have found no one who thinks this is possible online. My profile also clearly states that I do not travel to pupils and Dara/Winnie are quite some distance from me. I have flagged this problem with first tutors several times as the filter for distance no longer works when online is offered. I offer online for instrumental, EAL and Spanish lessons and welcome pupils to my home.
As of yesterday, there should be someone else contacting you (this was agreed with my colleague before half term but the email went to spam. I chased yesterday and I received confirmation that she now has it).
I have tried very hard to help Dara/Winnie and therefore find a bad review quite disappointing.

From Priya (/5): Angie has been very helpful and prompt in responding to messages.Paid finder’s fee but another tutor who is more relevant to my son’s need responded few hours later on the same day messaged back.Being holiday time and my Son is desperate so I have been acting so fast . Angie agreed with the plan.

From Nalani Rose (/5): Angie responded promptly to all my communications and it has been easy to schedule lessons with her. She put me at ease right from the start which was very important to me. I'm now having fortnightly lessons and am really enjoying learning with her. It's a lovely environment and she allows me to go at my own pace. Definitely recommend.

From Maggie (/5): Angie is very accommodating, not only the day and time of lessons but also the teaching plan, after the first hour, Angie and my husband were playing a tune together. She goes out of her way to be helpful and patient and I would recommend her to anyone wishing to play the violin.

From June (/5): Angie very quickly established respect and rapport with our 15 year old daughter and additionally in helping our son to brush up on his spanish whilst home from university. Always on time, reliable she is everything you would want in a home tutor.
