Personal Description:
Classically trained at The Royal Welsh College Of Music And Drama, Amy performs all over the UK and abroad as a Soprano soloist and as part of critically acclaimed Vocal Ensemble "All That Malarkey " which she co created .
Her performance highlights include Classic Fm, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, BBC Wales, Welsh Millennium Centre, St Paul's Covent Garden, Birmingham Hippodrome and BBC London .
Tutoring Experience:
Amy has enjoyed teaching both privately and in schools for the last six years and has since run several workshops and master classes. Amy is currently based in Chichester and teaches singing at The Prebendal School, Bishop Luffa School, Portsmouth High School and Bourne Community College.
In addition to her Bachelor Of Music Degree, Amy has achieved Grade 8 in both Singing and Piano. She has experience teaching Singing, Piano and Music Theory to a range of abilities with 100% teaching exam success. Amy has prepared students for Grades 1 to 8 and beyond into auditions for Performance Colleges/ Conservatoires and Professional Roles. In the last two years Amy’s students have been awarded scholarships to Eton, Tring, Portsmouth Grammar School, Portsmouth High School and Seaford College.
Tutoring Approach:
Amy's "patience and enthusiasm shines through her teaching” with experience working with ages ranging from five to seventy five! She relies on her Classical training as the basic foundation to teach a variety of genres from Classical, Opera and Musical Theatre to Pop and Jazz.
Exams are certainly an option to all students, but are not compulsory and Amy ensures to maintain a relaxed and supportive atmosphere, tailoring the pace of her lessons to the abilities and goals of individual students.
