Personal Description:

I am a private music teacher in the Peterborough area. I teach all ages from beginners to grade 8 for the flute and music theory to grade 5.

Online lessons available.

I also teach the recorder, which is especially popular with younger children. I tailor the lessons to give them a wider appreciation for music.

I also teach piano for beginners.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 26 years experience playing the flute and have been teaching for over 7 years, both privately and in local primary schools. I have helped students pass the ABRSM exams and am also happy to teach students who are taking exams with other exam boards.

Tutoring Approach:

I am happy to travel to your home for your lesson. I offer tuition for graded exams, or lessons just for fun according to your preference and style of music. I offer friendly, relaxed lessons.

Amy uses a variety of methods and multimedia to keep the lessons interesting and to suit different learning styles. She’s also a great communicator and has greatly improved my daughter’s confidence and flute playing. I would definitely recommend Amy to anyone looking for a tutor who is highly skilled, enthusiastic and passionate about music.
