Personal Description:
Alex is an internationally regarded and distinguished saxophonist, clarinettist, and flautist, who graduated from The Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a first-class honours degree in Jazz Saxophone. Alex has performed at renowned venues worldwide, including Wembley Arena, Smalls Jazz Club (NYC), Manchester Arena, and La Mamounia (Marrakech). He has been a resident late show host at the legendary Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club for several years.
Tutoring Experience:
Alex's passion for teaching has led him to share his expertise at prestigious institutions including Trinity Laban Conservatoire, Manhattan School of Music, Wells Cathedral School, and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Alex has a particular interest in early years music education and has undergone training from the DaCapo Music Foundation.
Alex has an up to date enhanced DBS Certificate.
Tutoring Approach:
Learning an instrument should be fun no matter the level at which you are studying. We all learn in different ways, especially when learning a musical instrument. We are all different, and because so much of learning an instrument is physical it is important for me as a teacher to find the teaching method that works best for you.
