Personal Description:

I've been a professional saxophonist for 15 years, having achieved a Bachelor's Degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, graduating in 2014. I specialised in jazz performance which is my passion but also love to perform pop and contemporary music of all varieties and can be seen doing so at venues across London.

Tutoring Experience:

I taught for 2 academic years in two different schools both one on one lessons on saxophone and in small groups. I've taught privately on and off for the past 10 years with students of all ages and abilities from absolute beginners to those who are looking to apply for Music Colleges themselves and higher education. I've had students looking to study with me outside of their usual tuition, studying for band pieces, as well as successfully guiding them to Music Conservatoire.

I am DBS checked and typically prefer to visit client's houses simply due to sound restrictions where I live. I'm based in South East London (Greenwich) but I'm always more than happy to travel a reasonable distance.

Tutoring Approach:

I will always be there with the student with my saxophone out and ready to play because I believe the best way to learn is first through imitation and then making that style your own. I love to demonstrate what I teach where needed whilst allowing the student to express themselves fully and guide them through the stages of learning the instrument as well as the theory behind the music.

My specialty when giving lessons would be for intermediate to advanced level students. Grade 3 and upwards.
