Personal Description:

I am a Russian-German pianist and composer.

I started piano training as a classical pianist in Kaliningrad, Russia. After moving to London, I continued studying classical and contemporary piano with Maria Krivenski at the Goldsmiths University of London, where I obtained a Master's degree. Under the same institution, I studied composition under the supervision of very diverse and respectful composers such as Dmitry Smirnov, Jeremy Peyton-Jones, and Roger Redgate.

I am more than happy to offer tuition of a chosen subject to any willing learner, whether you are a beginner or an advanced student. We will discuss your aims, goals, and experience in the very first lesson. Then, together we will find your way to fulfilling your musical aspirations!

I can teach from my home (East India).
I am also happy to travel to your house (where an additional travel fee will be included in the standard lesson cost, depending on the distance).

Tutoring Experience:

I have teaching experience of 6 years in piano performance, composition study, conducting technique, and music theory (all ABRSM grades). My students show exceptional results in both music theory and practical piano exams.

Tutoring Approach:

In my teaching practice I like to show how music is connected and related to all the scientific disciplines (mathematics, in particular) and other arts (literature, paintings, sculpture).

Therefore, my teaching approach is fundamentally based on explaining to a student how and why are certain things such as musical harmony, structure and form function.

I introduce a student to various techniques and develop a deep understanding of a chosen subject, whether it is music theory study, piano performance, conducting or composing a student's music.

My ultimate goal is to make a student understand the beauty of music deeply as well as gaining decent technical and academic skills even if the lessons are to be taken just as a spare time activity.
