Personal Description:

Music is my true passion; It always has and always will be! I've been surrounded by and involved in music for as long as I can remember and I know how much it enriches our lives and is especially important in promoting wellbeing and confidence. Teaching Music even runs in my family! Inspiring and having a positive impact on others through music is something I just love doing.

As a supportive, friendly, dedicated musician, with knowledge and experience, I like to get on well with everybody and have fun whilst working hard. I always want the best for others and can adapt to people’s unique learning styles and personalities.

Guitar is my primary instrument, for which I am self taught and have been playing for 10 years, to a very high standard, but I also play drums, keys, bass and vocals very well and have in-depth musical knowledge. I’ve also achieved a merit in Grade 6 Jazz Saxophone (Trinity) and have plenty of experience in the music industry, recording and performing; having played in various bands (of a wide variety of genres) and venues.

Tutoring Experience:

Recently began teaching a 16 year old student drums, at around Grade 5-7 (Rockschool/Trinity). Lessons have been going really well!
Teaching Assistant at Stagecoach Theatre Arts Farnborough (2017-2019)- Assisting group singing, drama and dance lessons.

Tutoring Approach:

It is vital that learning and playing an instrument is fun, interesting and engaging to you, otherwise, you'll be more likely to give up, lose interest or progress slower. Music is all about enjoying what you're doing. So, we play and learn whatever interests you while still learning, practicing and focusing on the fundamental skills of your instrument!
