Personal Description:
My name is Adam and I am an experienced bass teacher, located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Popular Music Performance from Southampton Solent University and have also studied at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London and the Academy of Music and Sound.
I have worked with musical names such as Shayne Ward and Mike Stock, recorded in Abbey Road Studios, and worked with many bands all over the country.
Tutoring Experience:
I am a private tutor, specialising in bass, guitar, ukulele and music theory.
My students currently range from primary school age to mid seventies; I accept any age range and experience level. I currently offer online lessons, but can also teach socially distanced lessons as well. I can travel to you, and I also have a studio space if you'd rather travel to me.
I have experience in one-to-one, group, and whole class teaching.
Tutoring Approach:
I teach students of all ages and abilities and in many styles including Rock, Pop, Funk, Metal, Soul, Blues, Jazz, Reggae, Ska and R&B.
I can teach many different aspects including how to play your favourite songs, bass techniques and music theory. I tailor each lesson to whatever my students would like to learn. My philosophy is that patience and understanding is key to help my students feel comfortable and confident in their abilities.
I teach absolute beginners that want to learn the basics, all the way to seasoned players who wish to learn new techniques and theory skills.
I can teach advanced techniques such as slap bass, tapping and 3 finger picking, as well as put music theory into practise to inspire more creative basslines.
I teach in Handsworth, Sheffield which has free parking. I am also able to travel to any student in South Yorkshire and the surrounding areas for a small extra cost. These include Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Chesterfield, Barnsley, Worksop and Mansfield.
Lessons start from:
£22 for an hour
£14 for half an hour
