Personal Description:
I am a professional cellist and cello teacher working in Glasgow. I have a masters in cello performance from the University of Arts in Vienna, and a Bachelors in cello performance from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been a private cello teacher since I was a teenager, and have taught people of all ages and abilities, from as young as 4 to adult learners, as well as high school students, from beginner level to grade 8 and beyond.
I grew up in a family of musicians and music teachers, and when I was a teenager I started helping out at youth orchestras. I have since been the Cello Mentor for the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland, and am a member of the Resol String Quartet, a professional ensemble who give regular workshops in schools to young string players.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is very much tailored to the individual needs of the student. I am disciplined but kind, and my lessons are fun and engaging. I care a lot about the outcome of my lessons and the progress of my students.
