Samantha is an excellent teacher and I am amazed at the progress I have made in the year she has been teaching me french, which was effectively from a level of being a complete beginner. Her particular strength is encouraging you to engage in general conversation by creating a non-judgemental atmosphere and her passion for linguistics / modern languages is very much contagious. Sam is extraordinarily patient and instils in you a confidence to be able to learn more. Sam designs her lessons around subject matter which you find interesting and although there is no way of avoiding the more technical aspects of learning a language, the lessons are always enjoyable. I never really threw myself at languages whilst at school but she has really opened my eyes up to a passion for learning languages I previously didn’t know I had. Although I make no claims to be a natural (far from it) and still have very far to go, Sam has given me an excellent foundation in a short period of time and I always look forward to lessons immensely in order to develop more. My only regret is not starting lessons sooner.
