Information About Tung Yen - Nottingham teacher

Personal Description:

My name is Wendy and I am a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan. I have widely interested in music, I enjoy listening such as classical (because I have been learning piano for 11 years, and still practicing), EDM, pop, rock, and Jazz. I also like reading books, watching films. I love drinking wines with my lovely friends. I am a person with open-minded with a positive attitude towards life

Teaching Experience:

I have two years of English teaching experiences, from kindergarten age to 17 years old students and at the same times, I also taught Mandarin to my coworkers. I enjoy teaching Chinese and help people to improve if they face any difficulties in new language learning. Even though I haven’t had many experiences in Chinese teaching, I love sharing Asian culture, and customs to make you more native and welcome, and I also like hear stories from you. Now, I am a master student and live in Nottingham. I joined the University activity is called language café, I was in charge of Mandarin table which taught local Chinese, from beginner to intermediate level. I am also familiar with both simplified and traditional Chinese, so if you are interested in both, I am willing to share.

Teaching Approach:

During the teaching, I will find the right material for you from listening, reading and writing or music, just let me know which parts you are interested in more. I like encouraging students to speak as much as you can, just don’t be afraid to make any mistake.
