Personal Description:
Fully qualified teacher of Japanese and Russian languages (all levels).
I prepare students for GCSE & A-level exams, as well as conduct and assess these exams so I know exactly what is required to get high marks. I also provide teaching services for higher education establishments, government departments and corporate entities.
I assist students with all levels of JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) and TORFL (The Test of Russian as a Foreign Language) and all my students have very high success rate.
The teaching methodology I use has been developed over a long period of time and has proven to be very effective. It allows my students to achieve their goals in the shortest time possible. Therefore I believe that my success rate and ability to get students where they want to be quickly provides the very best value for money.
Being native in Russian, and an expert in the Japanese & English languages, I am acutely aware of the differences between English & Japanese and English & Russian languages, their specific capabilities, nuances and requirements.
I focus on teaching methods that are designed to make learning interactive and fun. I have developed my own strategy for delivering concise and meaningful learning methods to my students to assist their understanding. I enjoy teaching languages; it gives my students an opportunity to communicate with new people and expand their world.
I obtained a Master's Degree in diplomacy/international relations at the top-ranking Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), with Japanese and English languages.
In 2000 I undertook the internationally recognised Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) achieving a 'Level 1' pass (the highest attainable level).
In 2010 I received my first teaching qualification 'Teacher of Russian as a Foreign Language' at Moscow State University, and in 2011 I was awarded 'Teacher of Japanese as a Foreign Language' qualification at The Institute of International Education in London.
From 2000 until 2010 I lived in Japan, and worked in a senior position for a leading Japanese technology company in Tokyo. During this time it afforded me an excellent 'real world' understanding of the Japanese language, its nuances and the fascinating Japanese culture.
Teaching Experience:
I have been professionally teaching Russian and Japanese languages over 10 years and I can provide a lot of references.
Teaching Approach:
I offer tutoring on Japanese and Russian languages for all levels from beginner to advanced. My lessons are tailor-made for each person, so no matter what your level or interest, I can ensure you will achieve your goals. Therefore, if you are looking to learn for a holiday, or as a main language I'll be able to help!
I provide online tuition as well as face-to-face lessons. Face-to-face lessons take place in central Winchester, or in my house in Micheldever village. Depending on the location, I might be able to travel to students.

I expect I'll continue lessons with her for a while to come :)
I would highly recommend Tatiana to anyone wishing to study Japanese
She encourages me to add other material outside of our lessons and has sufficient command of her subject to answer by detailed questions. She also helps me by adding societal context to matters such as grammar and rules (and deviations from) pronunciation.
I am very pleased with Tatiana’s teaching and feel that I am making good progress.
I’m a slow learner and Tatiana is great at explaining any question i have thoroughly

Brilliant one to one Teacher
We got straight into studying and it didn't feel awkward at all. Since our first meeting my reading skills have improved a lot thanks to Tatiana. It has helped me be more self assured of how I learn Kanji and my best methods. Having Tatiana available gives me the confidence that what I am learning is correct.
Many thanks for being a great teacher.
Very professional, very helpful & would recommend =)
I would happily recommend her.
Professional and organised approach at all times.
Superb knowledge and skills in delivering Russian language classes.
Positive feedback from students.
Fully recommended.
I can't recommend her enough … 5 stars!
Courtesy of her individual approach, my daughter has made impressive progress in Japanese and finds each lesson enjoyable.
Her lessons are well structured but flexible with plenty of variety and great resources (even if your lessons are online like mine). She is also very patient and explains things well so its easy to ask if I don't understand something. I get a reasonable amount of homework which enforces what we've learnt in the lesson and I find the independent study useful.
Tatiana covers everything in detail so I know that I'm building a thorough understanding of grammar etc. and I already feel more confident about my grasp of the language. I would definitely recommend her.
I look forward to seeing you next week.
Best wishes
