Personal Description:
I am a father of three, currently based near Canterbury in Kent.
Teaching Experience:
20 years' experience teaching foreign languages.
Specialist in GCSEs, retakes, A levels.
Teaching Approach:
I use the foreign language wherever possible, which tends to be about 95% of the the time. I am focussed and rigorous in my methodology and will have a positive impact on your learning from day 1.
I use a mixture of resources, tailored to the learner.
I also enjoy giving lessons online.

SimonFrom Georgina (4/5): Simon is a very attentive and creative teacher. He is good at focusing the lessons on my needs and finding different ways to challenge me. We always cover a mixture of skills, and he constantly gives me feedback.
From Brian (/5): So far my wife and I have only had one lesson with Simon, but already he has motivated us to want to learn. his teaching technique is excellent, as he very quickly assessed our level and is teaching accordingly. Highly recommended
From Elizabeth (/5): I am very pleased to have found a tutor of this quality – being so near to home is both a surprise and a bonus. Simon was careful to find out what I wanted of my lessons, to assess my level and to provide learning material that relates to my interests. He makes every lesson interesting and enjoyable and offers advice on learning methods that I can use on my own to increase my knowledge. I feel that I've been challenged in just the right way and have been motivated to learn. If only I'd had a teacher like this at school… !

From Camilla (/5): You have listened to my brief and presented T with an enjoyable experience of thinking and trying to speak in French. He has been motivated, asking how to say things in French and we watched a film in French - Le Petit Nicholas which his sister is studying for GCSE. Sadly this had no English subtitles but did have French ones and yet he watched it all of the way through. Thank you.
