Personal Description:
I have loved languages since school days and speak French, German and Italian. I have used languages in my work all my life, have
travelled Europe extensively and lived in Brussels for 3 years.
Teaching Experience:
I started teaching languages when I founded my own small company EUROCONNECTION in 1990. This has been
to adults in companies who need languages for their job, couples with 2nd houses in France etc or children/teenagers requiring
extra tuition to pass GCSE and "A" level exams.
Teaching Approach:
My approach is to teach languages with enthusiasm and patience as I firmly believe that we should all be European! I have a special
affinity with children. One pupil said "I would like to thank you for all the help and support you have given me. I doubt whether I would have
done so well without you!". Another adult student said that "my excellent knowledge of the language (in this case German) plus my wealth
of experience of trade and commerce in Europe makes the lessons enjoyable and interesting".

From James (/5): Rosemary uses a traditional style of teaching, from books, tape dictation. This suits me. I like the way she brings German into our general conversation. I appreciate her willingness to be flexible and to work at a pace with which I am comfortable.
From Sally (/5): We've agreed a convenient time weekly and stick to it. Rosemary is welcoming and convivial and translates words that pop up in our everyday conversation which we write down - we asked for conversational Italian - and we are working our way through the BBC Talk Italian course. Rosemary did explain that French and German are her forte but she has more than enough Italian for our needs. My wife and I attend together. I am very happy with the mix of conversation and study. My wife sometimes wishes we could focus more on study. There is a balance to be struck. Overall very pleased.

From Ray (/5): Good level of tuition in a short period of time. Suggestions for further improvement and above all a very good social experience in addition.
From Abbie (/5): The actuall French lessons were very good, Rosemary helped me learn to construct my own sentances by aiding my grammar. Howevermy mum and myself would of prefered to get straight to the learning instead of hearing all of Rosemarys personal life. The french lessons were good but could of been improved by starting the lessons with the learning straight away.

She knows the language from her own experiences in the country (which is extensive) and not just from a book. Her schedule is flexible to fit around my working lifestyle.
I would recommend Rosemary to any learner whether you are looking for help with your School homework or if you are an adult trying to broaden your horizons.

From Joanne (/5): Rosemary is perfect for us. We are learning as a family aging from 9 to 40 years old with varying abilities. She is very patient with her teaching and not worried when we go off at a tangent about another area of french. She makes the lessons fun with her humour and quirkiness, and the lesson passes so quickly. The children are very relaxed with her and we equally feel at ease with her. We would very much recommend Rosemary to other families
