Information About Ronas - Highbury teacher

(Can do in-person or online. In-person would preferably be Zone 1-3 in London but I am quite flexible, I'll happily cycle to your location of choice at no additional charge!)

Hi,

My name is Ronas, I am a PhD student in Computational Biology and Cancer at Barts Cancer Institute in Central London where I research leukaemia while training to be a doctor! I was born in Denmark and lived there until I was 20. I have a somewhat fanatical hobbyist interest in Danish social realism literature (Jakob Ejersbo, Jan Sonnergaard, Kim Leine, incl. the more satirical Hans Scherfig) and Danish film (Dreyer, Trier, Refn and so on… ). I love talking about Denmark and would love to be a language/culture-learning resource for anybody interested in or potentially even moving to Denmark.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught GCSE Maths, English (In Denmark), Chemistry and Anatomy (Medical students). This would not be my first time teaching a language, but it would be my first time teaching Danish rather than English.

Teaching Approach:

Whether you're hoping to make attempts at some of the formalised language tests (A2, A1, B2, B1) or you're looking for someone to converse with in Danish to supplement ongoing learning, I'd be happy to do both. I am an avid user of flashcards and love preparing these for students in advance of classes. I will be very open to suggestions around the format and structure of lessons.
