Personal Description:

I am an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher, with a passion for learning. In my spare time I enjoy being in the outdoors, gardening and running, as well as playing piano and guitar. I love language learning and I am currently teaching myself Spanish in my spare time.

Teaching Experience:

I have been a teacher since 2002 (BA Hons. French with Qualified Teacher Status). I began my career teaching English in France, following a season as a receptionist at Disneyland Paris. On my return to England I ran a business as a peripatetic French Teacher and tutor for many years. More recently I took on my own class as a Primary School Teacher. In addition to tutoring, I currently run Primary school workshops at RHS Harlow Carr on a part-time basis.

Teaching Approach:

As an enthusiastic and energetic individual, I take an active approach to teaching and learning, which aims to boost self-confidence and whereby I provide opportunities for students to learn in a fun and interesting way, through games, role-plays, puppets and songs (for young learners), in addition to following a variety of workbooks, literature, videos and textbook activities, tailored to students’ needs.
