Personal Description:
I am a Portuguese Translator, teacher, proof-reader, language examiner for OCR and Interpreter with a background in Law and Environment Management (which can bring something extra to the classroom) with a passion for languages.
I was born in Brazil, but I am from a Portuguese family. I teach both European Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese. I believe it's important to be as honest as possible to all my potential students.
I also teach in 2 different schools to a group of students with various interests. We have a 10 week group course from beginners to advanced to students that are looking into learning Portuguese to travel, improve their skills or just for fun!
Buying books is NOT mandatory as i have them all in PDF forms and i am happy to share it with you! I am very flexible and we can work together when booking the classes, Obrigada e até logo!
Teaching Experience:
I have over 10 years experience teaching to all levels and interests. To groups, one-to-one or via Skype/Zoom.
Teaching Approach:
I believe learning languages should be fun. I am very motivated and like to make sure my students "get out of their comfort zone", learn and have a good time. I use videos, books, movies, etc.

From Mike (/5): Reliability was an issue, caused I think by holidays, the result was very poor continuity. Not really helpful for me having purchased recommended books etc. Looking for a more professional approach

From Anthony (/5): I've only just started learning Portuguese and my first lesson with Patricia was fantastic. She's a wonderful tutor, friendly, attentive, and my two hour less ran at a pace that was perfect for me. My lesson was at Patricia's home which is perfectly suited to learning.

From Stephen (/5): i have had 3 marvellous lessons so far with Patricia, she is very patient and understanding, the language course is very clear and broken down to help understand the language. Patricia is very punctual for the lessons and listens to your thoughts and your ideas you have to boost your learning. The lesson have already improved my knowledge of the Portuguese language.
