Personal Description:

Hola! I am a 28 year old girl from Spain who is passionate about languages.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching Spanish and German online since 2020. I also have a Bachelor´s degree in Modern Languages (Spanish, German and English) and in 2022 I got my PGCE in Secondary Modern Languages with London Metropolitan University.
I have been working as a Modern Languages teacher in secondary schools (unqualified first and then qualified) since 2021. Therefore, I am very experienced in teaching Spanish and I am very familiar with the GCSE curriculum, since I have also taught and prepared GCSE students.

Teaching Approach:

I think that students learn better when they enjoy what they are learning, therefore I like to prepare fun and dynamic lessons that cover all the language areas (reading, writing, listening and speaking).
I always like to prioritize my students´ needs, so I adapt my lessons depending on students´ weaknesses, strenghts or interests.

From Maddalena (5/5): Maria is an excellent Spanish teacher with deep knowledge of GCSE curriculum for both the current and the new future specification. Maria prepares the lessons carefully in advance and sends the material to the student at the end of each lesson. Maria is also flexible in rescheduling the lessons, if some emergency happens and communicates very well with both students and parents.
I highly recommend Maria.

Reply from: Maria: Ada is a great student. She is really motivated and engaged in every lesson. She is very hard-working and always keen to do extra practice at home to be fully prepared. I am sure she will do great in her GCSE's.
