Information About Juan Carlos - Waltham Forest teacher

Personal Description:

My name is Juan Carlos Alonso, from Spain, and have been living in London for fifteen years. I work in Environmental servicers for Greenwich Council since 2002. I have been involved in a lot of charity work like AGE UK, KIDS COMPANY, DOGS TRUST etc. I work as drum technician for five years at Scar Studios in Camden (sadly closed now). My last years have been related to contact sports (boxing and Systema (Russian Martial art).
I am really sociable and responsible person always willing to give my best with everything I do.

Teaching Experience:

I always love English language, starting my studies at early age (ten year old) at School and studying at the Little School (running only by British teachers) when i was young. I started teaching since I got my A levels in English and my five year Degree in English Language. I taught students from 12 to 16 years old. I was a one to one teacher for five years finishing my last year in spain (2001) working as a teacher coordinating the English Tandem for Spanish/ foreign students.
I have been teaching just to friends here but now I want to teach in a more professional way.

Teaching Approach:

I always prefer the one to one approach, so you can focus on every aspect of the teaching process… When teaching is really important for me to have a lot of psychology, understand who is in front of you, their skills, behaviour etc, To be patient is another element that is important too, I had some experiences with challenging kids and sometimes can drain someone,s energy.
My main purpose is to to make them learn and enjoy their learning progress. It is important to do regular exams to keep the students focus and interested.
