Personal Description:

English as Foreign Language tutor, TEFL qualified.
I am a highly professional, very patient English teacher. I moved to the UK more than 20 years ago to study at the Cranfield Business School and fell in love with this country. After gaining my MBA I spent 10 years working in international finance before moving to the e-commerce industry. My fluency in English, coupled with my passion for classical literature, recently led to me advising an English author and my contribution was acknowledged in his book. I also speak Russian and Intermediate Spanish.

Teaching Experience:

I teach English as Foreign Language at all proficiency levels (Beginners to Advanced) and help with preparation for tests and exams (TOEFL, CAE, etc.). My Business and International Finance experience is of particular value to students learning English to advance their careers. I became an English teacher because I love the language, and enjoy sharing my knowledge with those who dream of being a part of the English-speaking world. I will help you feel comfortable communicating in English in any circumstances, either personal or professional.

Teaching Approach:

I adjust my method according to the aims and preferences of the student. I utilise the Direct Method approach using only English language in class as it works well for students who aim to develop their Speaking and Listening skills. However, I switch to traditional grammar/translation approaches or use a mix of both should my students prefer to develop their Writing and Reading skills. I have a dynamic and enthusiastic teaching style, and can adapt if there are certain methods you prefer.
