Personal Description:
I am a Languages Teacher of French and Spanish. I am a fluent speaker of Spanish and Portuguese as I was born in Venezuela and my parents are Portuguese. I am also a certified Lead Practitioner and I have been a Head of Department in a school in North London for the last 3 years.
Teaching Experience:
In the last 14 years I have taught French to KS4 and Spanish to KS5. I have taught the Edexel and AQA exam boards and have experience of other exam boards when preparing students for their Portuguese GCSE and Alevels.
Teaching Approach:
From my experience, it is important to gauge students' ability through regular practice and assessment. It is then my responsibility to adapt my teaching to the particular needs of each student. It is also essential to foster the student's enthusiasm for the language through the culture but also their confidence through lots of speaking practice.
