Native female Spanish language teacher, interpreter and translator (castilian)

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring for over 7 years to learners of all ages, from beginners to advanced and improvers.I have been helping learners preparing for GCSE, A levels, undergraduate level and DELE with an outstanding rate of success. Although I tutor mainly on a one to one basis, I also run tailor-made courses for groups and corporations.

Teaching Approach:

My approach depends on the learner's requirements. If the tutee is preparing for exams I'd plan the lessons to his/her specific needs on spoken and written communication, reading and listening comprehension. I provide support with past paper practice, oral exams preparation, listening exercises, etc. I'm flexible when booking lessons, but I require a minimum of 24 hour notice for cancellation or change of bookings. I'm able to carry out the tutoring from my home, but I'm prepared to travel within reason for an extra cost. I also offer lessons via Skype or FaceTime.

She is a native speaker, but also full of encouragement (which my daughter needed in huge doses!), patience and very easy & flexible to work with as my daughter is sometimes all over the place. I have already recommended Gema to friends and she is very reasonable and worth every penny and more!

She builds up confidence, by speaking in Spanish as much as possible, although everything is explained clearly in English when necessary. I couldn't recommend Gema more highly. She is teaching my son and me separately (we are both at slightly different beginner levels) and we both always look forward to our lessons.
