Personal Description:
Teaching Approach: I am a qualified and experienced Turkish Literature and Language teacher. I studied at Izmir Teacher University between 1999- 2003 and graduated from Izmir University with a BA in Turkish Language and Literature in 2003. I have 8 years of experience as a Turkish teacher in Primary, Secondary and High Schools in Turkey. I really enjoy being in Oxford and find it to be a culturally diverse and cosmopolitan city.

I have been teaching to Turkish over 8 years to many different studenets who they come from different cultures. I am friendly, experienced and very passionate about my language.

She has an ability to make complex topics simple my breaking them down and supplementing with excellent materials. She is quick to respond and is always available at convenient times. She makes learning Turkish fun!

From Helen (/5): From my three lessons I would say Fatoş is an excellent teacher, really knows her grammar and is very good at explaining why things are the way they are. Really helping me get my speaking/listening practice up to scratch, which is lagging behind my Turkish reading/writing. I find her style of using lessons to cover difficulties of the Turkish language and speaking/listening practice, rather than overseeing memorisation of endless vocabulary lists, very refreshing - so I spend my hour with Fatoş getting the maximum use of her expertise, and use my own time to do the simple things like learn vocabulary.

She always makes me feel at ease and works at my own pace and is always willing to go over anything I have a problem with as many times as I need. She makes each lesson very interesting and I look forward to each one. It is best to try and have a couple of lessons a week if possible to be able to remember what has been taught. I really like the handouts she sends me to aid me with the lessons. I was even having lessons in Turkey whilst on holiday so able to have continuity. I would recommend Fatos to anyone wishing to learn Turkish, whether they were a beginner like me to someone with some knowledge of the language.

From Ozen (/5): Fatos is a brilliant teacher - her teaching style really works and you can tell she teaches becuase she loves to teach the language. I am learning Turkish with her and already have learnt so much. She provides really useful learning materials after the lesson and her teaching hours are flexible for full time working people with not much time.
