Personal Description:

Iam a native/qualified Tutor of Spanish. I achieved my teaching qualification at Norwich City College of Further and High Education in 1995. I am also a British Citizen.
I teach Spanish from Spain and Peru South America.

I work from home teaching Spanish to adults and students from different levels of learning: Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced, GCSE, "A" Level and Degree. REASONS: Holiday, work, study and hobby.
I also teach British English Beginner level.

As a result of my years of experience I have developing effective teaching methods, learning styles and resources with the purpose of making the students learning more interesting and enjoyable. Tuition face to face and ONLINE through Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp.

I have worked for N.C.C. Adult Education, Chris Polatch Language Course, Listen & Learn, The Language Machine and other languages institutes.

I tailor made courses for companies with a particular focus in SPANISH for BUSINESS purposes and industry specific vocabulary. These can take place either from home, online or in your company premises.

I enjoy travelling and experience different cultures, languages and traditions. I have had the opportunity to visit Jersey (British Channel Islands), Scotland, England, Italy, Greece, Majorca, Spain: Barcelona, Madrid, Castilla y Leon, Salamanca, Màlaga, Florida, Miami USA and Peru in South America.

-Responsible for the tuition, administration, clerical and reception duties.
- I am currently working in Lima Peru South America since July 2024, helping the foreigners with their Spanish language skills, mainly for holiday and hobby.
I will return to England this weekend, on Sunday 8th September 2024

From Paul (5/5): Since starting my 'Spanish Language' journey, Rosa (Elvy) has been welcoming and very helpful.

Learning a new language in itself is complex, Starting with the very basics of a language provides the foundations for future lessons. I have found Elvy manages to teach the basic structure in a way that helps me understand, practice and develop my confidence. I started as a complete beginner, and i jest, but within the first few lesson i could talk comfortably about the house and items within the house. Which for a beginner like me who could say a few words but had no idea what i was actually saying was a huge achievement.

I recommend Elvy to anyone excited enough to learn Spanish.

Very good on grammar and pronunciation, being a native Spanish speaker. Have really enjoyed my lessons, which have been easy to arrange as Rosa has been very accommodating in finding mutually convenient times.

From Bill (5/5): I went to Elvira as I wanted to work on speaking and listening and that is exactly what we have done, we have focused primarily on conversation as I requested. She has also given me worksheets to help practice reading and writing at home and uses plenty of different resources to aid learning.

It is a pleasure to helping you with your Spanish.
You can talk in the past, present and future, but it is quite obvious that you still need to work in the tenses of different verbs and also to learn how to build up the constructions of the sentences and also to learn more vocabulary.

Your accent in Spanish is clear and understanding and I am sure that with more practice, you would be able to achieve your goals and eventually, to speak the foreign language fluently.

From Barclay (5/5): Hola, I've been studying Spainish with Elvira for about four weeks now. When I started I literally only knew a couple of words. Now I would feel comfortable going to any Spanish speaking country and being able to read and order from the menu. Each lesson is well constructed and alway come away from each lesson feeling I've gained something from it.

I feel glad that Lisa is progressing learning more vocabulary and short phrases by using her own learning styles. On the other hand, Robert is improving his Intermediate Level and being able to have a conversation with me building up sentences and using the Spanish grammar in the correct order.

From Patricia (1/5): Elvira kept ringing me although I had told her I worked shifts and I eventually said I would come at 4pm on the 11th October. Anyway at 2pm she was ringing me to see where I was and I had to remind her that the appointment was for 4pm. She had said for me to find Sussex Street and she would meet me and take me to her flat. I arrived in Sussex street, rang her twicw and there was no reply. I asked a passer by where she lived and I rang the intercom went up and a man answered the door and told me she had move to number 22. I found this and pressed the buzzer and no reply, I rang three tiimes on my mobile and still no reply, she was not there. The next day She called me and I am disgusted I have had to go through all this.
